ABOUT MS. PUNANCY

Karlene Punancy, Esq.

Ms. Punancy has been practicing immigration law since 1988. She is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Punancy is proficient in English, Spanish, French, and Creole. She was the former Legal Director for a large immigration law service agency that provided free legal help to those in need. She supervised, managed, and was responsible for operation of a large legal department which included dedicated attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Some of these attorneys are today high-level immigration government attorneys.

Ms. Punancy was chosen to oversee living conditions in Guantanamo Cuba and traveled to Cuba via the United States Air Force as part of an official delegation. Ms. Punancy is fluent in Creole and Spanish and she was given authorization to speak directly with Haitians and Cubans that were being held on the island. She helped verify that they were being properly cared.

In 1992, Ms. Punancy joined with Mr. Cosentino to create Punancy & Cosentino, a law firm dedicated to serve the immigration needs of the community. During this time, Ms. Punancy grew the firm and separated the firm into two active parts: a litigation department run by Mr. Cosentino and the business and family visa which Ms. Punancy was responsible for handling. She has been an invited speaker on the topic of immigration hundreds of times. She has spoken to thousands of people and organizations around the State of Florida. Ms. Punancy was retained as the only immigration consultant to the Miami-Dade County school system (the third largest school system in the U.S.).
Ms. Punancy continues her educational growth and remains current on all the latest changes in immigration and procedures. She is respected in the community by Judges, government attorneys and immigration supervisors for the quality of her work and her integrity.

Ms. Punancy is happily married and has two beautiful children Kelly Ann and Craig. On a personal note, a large number of immigration judges attended her wedding and reception because of the great respect for each other. Karlene lives with her children and husband.

ABOUT Mr. COSENTINO, ESQ.

Mr. Cosentino is a graduate of Pace University School of Business (New York) where he received a Masters in Business administration (M.B.A.) in finance in 1982. He worked as a portfolio manager for a large bank and was responsible for investing millions of dollars in trust funds. He later graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1989. Mr. Cosentino has a strong business background coupled with excellent litigation skills. With Mr. Cosentino’s direction and direct involvement, the firm has probably represented thousands of people before the immigration court. One of Mr. Cosentino’s greatest assets is his genuine interest and compassion for people struggling to protect themselves from the pain of deportation from the United States. His greatest accomplishment is in preventing the government from deporting a father or mother from the United States while the remaining spouse and children are left behind.

Mr. Cosentino is a writer of books on the subject of immigration which have been published since 1994 and are widely distributed throughout Florida schools. His writings help those new to the United States understand the American legal and business environments.

Mr. Cosentino is happily married and lives with his wife Karlene and his children Craig and Kelly Ann.
